Kevin Jajcaj
Project Leader and Community Development Consultant

Kevin Jajcaj is a trusted project leader and community development consultant known for bridging infrastructure with Indigenous values, sustainable outcomes, and long-term community impact. As the Project Implementation Manager for the Nisutlin Bay Bridge Project—the largest infrastructure initiative in Yukon history—Kevin plays a central role in ensuring Teslin Tlingit Council (TTC) citizens, businesses, and values are at the heart of development.
Guided by the Tlingit worldview of Haa Kusteeyí, Kevin’s work is grounded in respect for the air, land, and water. He approaches every project with a long-term perspective—looking beyond immediate goals to consider what the land, community, and partnerships will look like in the reclamation and post-construction phase. All projects Kevin and his consulting team commit to are sustainable by design—intended to serve communities for generations. These values shape not only how projects are delivered but also the types of relationships they seek to build: ones rooted in trust, longevity, and shared responsibility.
With more than a decade of experience spanning government, infrastructure, and executive leadership roles, Kevin has led initiatives in cross-government relations, policy development, and Indigenous procurement. His leadership helps maximize participation for First Nation citizens and citizen-owned businesses through employment, mentorship, training, and direct contracting. Whether it’s negotiating intergovernmental agreements or removing barriers to economic inclusion, Kevin brings a calm, hands-on approach focused on building lasting capacity.
Outside of his formal roles, Kevin co-founded an annual sports camp at Teslin Lake that now serves youth from 9 of Yukon’s 14 remote communities. This initiative reflects his passion for youth development, wellness, and creating meaningful pathways for the next generation. He is certified to coach both football and soccer and lives an active life rooted in teamwork, discipline, and connection to land.
At the core of Kevin’s consulting philosophy is a belief that strong communities are built by empowering people, respecting the environment, and thinking beyond the lifespan of the project. His clients value his integrity, collaborative spirit, and unwavering commitment to doing things the right way—from the first meeting to the final reclamation.
